I know what you are probably thinking right now: You are your business’s most reliable worker. Right?Well, sort of. Not really. Let me explain. While there is, indeed, some truth to the fact that you are the crux of your business, I would argue that your treatment table is, in most cases, the most reliable worker you have.
You see, quality spa equipment should hold up through many years of trouble-free use, far more – to my mind – than we can reasonably expect from ourselves. As much as we like to think of ourselves as being extraordinarily reliable, we can get sick, occasionally take days off, and even run late from time to time (okay, well, I do – maybe you don’t). A quality treatment table, on the other hand, will be there through thick and thin. It can’t exactly get up and walk out of the office, after all. It doesn’t have parent-teacher conferences, doesn’t need to pick up kids from soccer practice, and it doesn’t need snacks or 15 minute coffee breaks to make it through a long day of massage. It is there every day, no matter what else is going on, a literal embodiment of consistency.
But, if you ask me, this is only the case where quality spa equipment is concerned. Don’t worry, I’m not going to spend hours building up a specific product or company, but I will say this: Quality makes a real difference in the reliability of your equipment. If you don’t purchase solid quality equipment, it will be prone to breaking. And when it does, the likelihood that you’ll have a comprehensive warranty to cover any issues is not good. So, do your homework. Ensure that you are purchasing quality product for your spa. Craftsmanship, solid wood, and dense, multi-layered cushioning – among other things – are monumentally important to the lifespan of a product. Quality product will show up every single day, a pinnacle of consistency, right when you need it. That, my friends, is one loyal, reliable employee!
